Thanks guys!

Yesterday hor, I was walking to the car park happily when I can’t find my car keys. Sei lor, I thought. I started to panic , pushed my hair to the back (which is what I always do when I panic..heh), and kept on chanting sei lor. Luckily, Shorty was there with me and she calmly searched the other compartment of my bag. And my car keys were there! Thank God!

BUT… (yes, there will always be buts)

…my happiness was short lived. Because the remote control didn’t work!! I can’t open my car!! You guys sure say, easy la..use the key mah can lo..
You think it didn’t occur to me is it? I opened the car door but I cannot start the engine!
Don’t even have the ‘eeee…eeee…eeee’ sound. There was absolutely nothing at all. My car was as good as dead. And I’m more dead. I don’t know anything about cars la wei.

Then I saw my friends, Boonzz and Karl, walking towards Boonzz’s car. So I called Boonzz la. She came over and gave me some suggestions which did not work. And Karl, I forgot what he did. I think he just stood there.

Anyway, I then saw Kevin walking with his bunch of friends to their cars as well. What do you think I did? I, of course, sent out a distress call for help la..haha. Kevin came, checked my car, and hypothesized that it is the battery’s problem. Somewhere along the line, Boon Leng and Ah Tat came along. They asked me for some klip buayas lookalike (I forgot what it is called). Naturally, there was no klip buaya lookalikes in my car so Kevin went to borrow it from Help’s bus drivers. He came back with two Indian bus driver uncles.

Then they did some hocus pocus and jumpstarted my car (whatever that meant) with the help of Ah Tat’s car. I was so thankful eh. Without them, I wouldn’t know what to do! I kept on mouthing ‘thank you’s to the uncles before they left. Then only I realized that we have to give them some kopi duit. Ahhh, nothing’s for free I guess. Kevin, I really owe you one. Thank you so much! And sorry for the trouble ya. Boon Leng and Ah Tat as well, if you’re reading this, I’m really grateful. Hehe, it is times like these that I feel lucky to have friends. Like thay say, ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’. Although I never really understand what this phrase means but I guess it kinda fits in with my story XD.

p/s: Actually the purpose of this post is to thank all of you guys who helped me with my car yesterday, especially Kevin, Shorty, Boon Leng and Ah Tat. Thanks guys!
