A (not-so-funny) misunderstanding…
Sorry lar people, I know I haven’t been blogging for quite sometime. And a few people have been urging me to blog something, but it’s not that I’m obligated to write, write right?
Kidding, I love to blog so whether or not people urge me to write, I will still continue blogging. Unless I suddenly fall into a deep depression and life suddenly has no meaning anymore. Don’t worry though, nothing of that sort would happen anytime soon, or at least I think it won’t
Anyway, I only had one class this morning and so, yours truly is free to blog for now
Speaking of blogs, one downside to it is that anyone who has an internet connection can have access to reading it. And when a friend stumbles upon your blog (and coindentally reads stuff about him/herself), something ugly might happen. Of course, since my own blog is linked through my friendster profile, I try to be careful when I’m writing about my friends and aqquaintances.
Seriously speaking, it didn’t occur to me that so many people whom I personally know read my blog. So imagine what a big shock it was to me when even the lecturer in my college told me he reads my blog. (Yes, Mr Alex, I’m talking about you ;p). Suddenly, I feel relieved that I didn’t badmouth any lecturers in my blog before, although there are a few who deserves to be critisized.
A few days ago, a huge misunderstanding occurred because of a certain post of mine. You see, this post is about a friend of mine (Raymond) in college. At first, it was pretty amusing to people who read it. Even Raymond found the whole thing on the funny side. But when so many people claimed that they have read the post, another friend who was featured in the post (Fui Yee) showed her displeasure about it. Mind you, this friend is my best ji mui. So when she showed signs of displeasure, I felt bad about it and exclaimed that I would delete the post. After that, she left without saying a thing to me. I felt sad and angry because she could get upset with me over a silly post. And so -don’t laugh-, I spent a few minutes hiding in the toilet because I didn’t know what to do anymore. After that, I bumped into some friends and told them what happened in between sobs. Okay, more like crying my heart out… but let’s not get into that part.
Later on, Betsy and Amanda accompanied me to Ali Maju to have lunch and, as fate would have it, Fui Yee and Raymond were there as well. They saw me outside the restaurant and when Fui Yee came over, I just burst into tears. I’m not very sure what happened next because it was kinda blurry. I just remember crying (again) while relating my story to the both of them. The funny part is, they weren’t upset about the whole thing at all. I mistook their reactions for something else and without asking them, I drew up my own conclusions.
So the whole hiding in the toilet thingy and crying was because of nothing at all. Ahhh, I felt like such a big fool, still do.
Well, another story to be dug out and laughed upon several years later
